On this page you will find information about events and activities which will be happening this year. If you have any questions or would like to discuss anything, please either email or phone the school office.
During the week we have Mrs Read helping and supporting the learning of the children in our classroom. Mrs Kew will teach the class on Tuesday afternoons.
PE and Muddy Puddles
Please remember that on our Muddy Puddle and PE day they need to come to school dressed in appropriate PE/ Muddy Puddle kit. The list of kit can be found on the Muddy Puddle / PE dates on the newsletter or on the website here
Reading Days
Your child will read to an adult in school at least once a fortnight. As they did in Year 2, they will choose a reading book from The Reading Realm. The children can take this book home to read at home along with their Captain's Log where they can record their journey through the Realm.
Ways you can help your child
In year 3, the children will practise and learn their 2,3,4,5,8 and 10 times tables. To help your child to learn these they can access www.ttrockstars.com. The children will be given a login to access this inside their homework books.
Listen to your child read as many times as possible each week and ask them questions about the book.
Read favourite stories to your child as often as possible and emphasise expression and intonation.
Help your child to practise their weekly spelling words which can be found on https://www.edshed.com/en-gb/login. Their logins will be inside their homework books.
Support your child to complete their weekly homework, this will go home with them on a Friday and should be returned by Tuesday.
Help your child with any further research they may wish to do on the topics we are covering in school.
